“Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for (that day will not come) until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God.”

“弟兄們、論到我們主耶穌基督降臨、和我們到他那裡聚集、我勸你們、無論有靈、有言語、有冒我名的書信、說主的日子現在到了、〔現在或作就〕不要輕易動心、也不要驚慌。”

“Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers, not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by some prophecy, report or letter supposed to have come from us, saying that the day of the Lord has already come.”

“神既是公義的、就必將患難報應那加患難給你們的人．也必使你們這受患難的人、與我們同得平安．那時、主耶穌同他有能力的天使、從天上在火焰中顯現、要報應那不認識　神、和那不聽從我主耶穌福音的人。 ”

“God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.”

“弟兄們、我們勸你們敬重那在你們中間勞苦的人、就是在主裡面治理你們、勸戒你們的．又因他們所作的工、用愛心格外尊重他們．你們也要彼此和睦……你們要謹慎、無論是誰都不可以惡報惡．或是彼此相待、或是待眾人、常要追求良善。”

“Now we ask you, brothers, to respect those who work hard among you, who are over you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other......Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else.”

“But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. You are all sons of the light and sons of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be alert and self-controlled. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. ”

It is God's will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the heathen, who do not know God”

“Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted.Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.”

“But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
