If a man cleanses himself from the latter, he will be an instrument for noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work. Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

だから、今述べた諸悪から自分を清める人は、貴いことに用いられる器になり、聖なるもの、主人に役立つもの、あらゆる善い業のために備えられたものとなるのです。 若いころの情欲から遠ざかり、清い心で主を呼び求める人々と共に、正義と信仰と愛と平和を追い求めなさい。 (テモテへの第二の手紙)

兄弟たちよ。もしもある人が罪過に陥っていることがわかったなら、霊の人であるあなたがたは、柔和な心をもって、その人を正しなさい。それと同時に、もし か自分自身も誘惑に陥ることがありはしないかと、反省しなさい。互に重荷を負い合いなさい。そうすれば、あなたがたはキリストの律法を全うするであろう。(ガラテヤ人への手紙)

servant of Christ.

All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

わたしたちは、四方から患難を受けても窮しない。途方にくれても行き詰まらない。迫害に会っても見捨てられない。倒されても滅びない。いつもイエスの死をこの身に負うている。それはまた、イエスのいのちが、この身に現れるためである。

神的應許、不論有多少、在基督都是是的．所以藉著他也都是實在的、〔實在原文作阿們〕叫　神因我們得榮耀。

For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God.

But many of the older priests and Levites and family heads, who had seen the former temple, wept aloud when they saw the foundation of this temple being laid, while many others shouted for joy. No one could distinguish the sound of the shouts of joy from the sound of weeping, because the people made so much noise. And the sound was heard far away.

Then the LORD said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand over the sea so that the waters may flow back over the Egyptians and their chariots and horsemen."...And when the Israelites saw the great power the LORD displayed against the Egyptians, the people feared the LORD and put their trust in him and in Moses his servant.

以色列人住在埃及共有四百三十年。正滿了四百三十年的那一天、耶和華的軍隊都從埃及地出來了。這夜是耶和華的夜、因耶和華領他們出了埃及地、所以當向耶和華謹守、是以色列眾人世世代代該謹守的。

Now the length of time the Israelite people lived in Egypt was 430 years. At the end of the 430 years, to the very day, all the LORD's divisions left Egypt. Because the LORD kept vigil that night to bring them out of Egypt, on this night all the Israelites are to keep vigil to honor the LORD for the generations to come.

イスラエルの人々がエジプトに住んでいた間は、四百三十年であった。四百三十年の終りとなって、ちょうどその日に、主の全軍はエジプトの国を出 た。 これは彼らをエジプトの国から導き出すために主が寝ずの番をされた夜であった。ゆえにこの夜、すべてのイスラエルの人々は代々、主のために寝ずの番をしな ければならない。主はモーセとアロンとに言われた、「過越の祭の定めは次のとおりである。すなわち、異邦人はだれもこれを食べてはならない。

Then the LORD said to Moses, "Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh: Because of my mighty hand he will let them go; because of my mighty hand he will drive them out of his country." God also said to Moses, "I am the LORD..."

主はモーセに言われた、「今、あなたは、わたしがパロに何をしようとしているかを見るであろう。すなわちパロは強い手にしいられて、彼らを去らせるであろう。否、彼は強い手にしいられて、彼らを国から追い出すであろう」。 神はモーセに言われた、「わたしは主である。...」(出エジプト記)

God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM...God also said to Moses, "Say to the Israelites, 'The LORD, the God of your fathers--the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob--has sent me to you.' This is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation.

摩西對神說、我是甚麼人、竟能去見法老、將以色列人從埃及領出來呢。 神說、我必與你同在、你將百姓從埃及領出來之後、你們必在這山上事奉我、這就是我打發你去的證據。

But Moses said to God, "Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?"And God said, "I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain."

God heard their groaning and he remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac and with Jacob. So God looked on the Israelites and was concerned about them.

After Jacob returned from Paddan Aram, God appeared to him again and blessed him. God said to him, "Your name is Jacob, but you will no longer be called Jacob; your name will be Israel." So he named him Israel. And God said to him, "I am God Almighty ; be fruitful and increase in number. A nation and a community of nations will come from you, and kings will come from your body.

So Jacob called the place Peniel, saying, "It is because I saw God face to face, and yet my life was spared."The sun rose above him as he passed Peniel, and he was limping because of his hip.

Then the LORD said, "Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do? Abraham will surely become a great and powerful nation, and all nations on earth will be blessed through him.

神は第七日にその作業を終えられた。すなわち、そのすべての作業を終って第七日に休まれた。神はその第七日を祝福して、これを聖別された。神がこの日に、そのすべての創造のわざを終って休まれたからである。
