你們要稱謝耶和華、因他本為善．他的慈愛、永遠長存…但願人因耶和華的慈愛、和他向人所行的奇事、都稱讚他…凡有智慧的、必在這些事上留心．也必思想耶和華的慈愛。
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever...Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men...Whoever is wise, let him heed these things and consider the great love of the LORD.
「主に感謝せよ、主は恵みふかく、そのいつくしみはとこしえに絶えることがない」と……どうか、彼らが主のいつくしみと、人の子らになされたくすしきみわざとのために、主に感謝するように。 ……すべて賢い者はこれらの事に心をよせ、主のいつくしみをさとるようにせよ。

我們一生的年日是七十歲．若是強壯可到八十歲．但其中所矜誇的、不過是勞苦愁煩．轉眼成空、我們便如飛而去…求你指教我們怎樣數算自己的日子、好叫我們得著智慧的心。
The length of our days is seventy years--or eighty, if we have the strength; yet their span is but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away...Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
人生の年月は七十年程のものです。健やかな人が八十年を数えても／得るところは労苦と災いにすぎません。瞬く間に時は過ぎ、わたしたちは飛び去ります。 ......生涯の日を正しく数えるように教えてください。知恵ある心を得ることができますように。

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.
悪しき者のはかりごとに歩まず、罪びとの道に立たず、あざける者の座にすわらぬ人はさいわいである。このような人は主のおきてをよろこび、昼も夜もそのおきてを思う。
