以斯拉定志考究遵行耶和華的律法、又將律例典章教訓以色列人。

For Ezra had devoted himself to the study and observance of the Law of the LORD, and to teaching its decrees and laws in Israel.

エズラは心をこめて主の律法を調べ、これを行い、かつイスラエルのうちに定めとおきてとを教えた。 (エズラ記)

然而有許多祭司、利未人、族長、就是見過舊殿的老年人、現在親眼看見立這殿的根基、便大聲哭號．也有許多人大聲歡呼．甚至百姓不能分辨歡呼的聲音、和哭號的聲音、因為眾人大聲呼喊、聲音聽到遠處。

But many of the older priests and Levites and family heads, who had seen the former temple, wept aloud when they saw the foundation of this temple being laid, while many others shouted for joy. No one could distinguish the sound of the shouts of joy from the sound of weeping, because the people made so much noise. And the sound was heard far away.

しかし祭司、レビびと、氏族の長である多くの人々のうちに、もとの宮を見た老人たちがあったが、今この宮の基礎のすえられるのを見た時、大声をあげて泣い た。また喜びのために声をあげて叫ぶ者も多かった。それで、人々は民の喜び叫ぶ声と、民の泣く声とを聞きわけることができなかった。民が大声に叫んだの で、その声が遠くまで聞えたからである。(エズラ記)

"This is what Cyrus king of Persia says: "'The LORD, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and he has appointed me to build a temple for him at Jerusalem in Judah. Anyone of his people among you--may the LORD his God be with him, and let him go up.'"

「ペルシャの王クロスはこう言う、『天の神、主は地上の国々をことごとくわたしに賜わって、主の宮をユダにあるエルサレムに建てることをわたしに命じられた。あなたがたのうち、その民である者は皆、その神、主の助けを得て上って行きなさい』」。

耶和華的眼目遍察全地、要顯大能幫助向他心存誠實的人。

For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.

主の目はあまねく全地を行きめぐり、自分に向かって心を全うする者のために力をあらわされる。今度の事では、あなたは愚かな事をした。ゆえにこの後、あなたに戦争が臨むであろう」。

這稱為我名下的子民、若是自卑、禱告、尋求我的面、轉離他們的惡行．我必從天上垂聽、赦免他們的罪醫治他們的地。 我必睜眼看、側耳聽、在此處所獻的禱告。

if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.

わたしの名をもってとなえられるわたしの民が、もしへりくだり、祈って、わたしの顔を求め、その悪い道を離れるならば、わたしは天から聞いて、その罪をゆるし、その地をいやす。今この所にささげられる祈にわたしの目を開き、耳を傾ける。

全地都要向耶和華歌唱、天天傳揚他的救恩。在列邦中述說他的榮耀、在萬民中述說他的奇事。 因耶和華為大、當受極大的讚美．他在萬神之上當受敬畏。外邦的神都屬虛無．惟獨耶和華創造諸天。

Sing to the LORD, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the LORD made the heavens.

全地よ、主に向かって歌え。日ごとにその救を宣べ伝えよ。もろもろの国の中にその栄光をあらわし、／もろもろの民の中にくすしきみわざをあらわせ。主は大いなるかたにいまして、／いとほめたたうべき者、／もろもろの神にまさって、恐るべき者だからである。 もろもろの民のすべての神はむなしい。しかし主は天を造られた。誉と威厳とはそのみ前にあり、／力と喜びとはその聖所にある。

你們要稱謝耶和華、求告他的名、在萬民中傳揚他的作為。 要向他唱詩、歌頌、談論他一切奇妙的作為。要以他的聖名誇耀．尋求耶和華的人心中應當歡喜……

Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice.

主に感謝し、そのみ名を呼び、／そのみわざをもろもろの民の中に知らせよ。主にむかって歌え、主をほめ歌え。そのもろもろのくすしきみわざを語れ。その聖なるみ名を誇れ。どうか主を求める者の心が喜ぶように。

耶和華卻因與亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各所立的約、仍施恩給以色列人、憐恤他們、眷顧他們、不肯滅盡他們、尚未趕逐他們離開自己面前。

But the LORD was gracious to them and had compassion and showed concern for them because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. To this day he has been unwilling to destroy them or banish them from his presence.

主はアブラハム、イサク、ヤコブと結ばれた契約のゆえにイスラエルを恵み、これをあわれみ、これを顧みて滅ぼすことを好まず、なおこれをみ前から捨てられなかった。(サムエル記上)

你的民以色列、或是眾人、或是一人、自覺有罪、〔原文作災〕向這殿舉手、無論祈求甚麼、禱告甚麼、求你在天上你的居所垂聽赦免．你是知道人心的、要照各人所行的待他們、（惟有你知道世人的心）使他們在你賜給我們列祖之地上、一生一世敬畏你。

when a prayer or plea is made by any of your people Israel--each one aware of the afflictions of his own heart, and spreading out his hands toward this temple-then hear from heaven, your dwelling place. Forgive and act; deal with each man according to all he does, since you know his heart (for you alone know the hearts of all men), so that they will fear you all the time they live in the land you gave our fathers.

も し、だれでも、あなたの民イスラエルがみな、おのおのその心の悩みを知って、この宮に向かい、手を伸べるならば、どんな祈、どんな願いでも、あなたは、あ なたのすみかである天で聞いてゆるし、かつ行い、おのおのの人に、その心を知っておられるゆえ、そのすべての道にしたがって報いてください。ただ、あなた だけ、すべての人の心を知っておられるからです。あなたが、われわれの先祖に賜わった地に、彼らの生きながらえる日の間、常にあなたを恐れさせてくださ い。(サムエル記上)

願你晝夜看顧這殿、就是你應許立為你名的居所．求你垂聽僕人向此處禱告的話。 你僕人和你民以色列向此處祈禱的時候、求你在天上你的居所垂聽、垂聽而赦免。

May your eyes be open toward this temple night and day, this place of which you said, 'My Name shall be there,' so that you will hear the prayer your servant prays toward this place. Hear the supplication of your servant and of your people Israel when they pray toward this place. Hear from heaven, your dwelling place, and when you hear, forgive.

我的神、我的磐石、我所投靠的．他是我的盾牌、是拯救我的角、是我的高臺、是我的避難所．我的救主阿、你是救我脫離強暴的……我在急難中求告耶和華、向我的神呼求．他從殿中聽了我的聲音、我的呼求入了他的耳中……

my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation. He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior--from violent men you save me...In my distress I called to the LORD; I called out to my God. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came to his ears...”

今日耶和華將王交在我手裡、我卻不肯伸手害耶和華的受膏者．耶和華必照各人的公義誠實報應他。

The LORD rewards every man for his righteousness and faithfulness. The LORD delivered you into my hands today, but I would not lay a hand on the LORD'S anointed.

主は人おのおのにその義と真実とに従って報いられます。主がきょう、あなたをわたしの手に渡されたのに、わたしは主が油を注がれた者に向かって、手をのべることをしなかったのです。(サムエル記上)

耶和華卻對撒母耳說、不要看他的外貌和他身材高大、我不揀選他、因為耶和華不像人看人、人是看外貌、耶和華是看內心。

But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."

しかし主はサムエルに言われた、「顔かたちや身のたけを見てはならない。わたしはすでにその人を捨てた。わたしが見るところは人とは異なる。人は外の顔かたちを見、主は心を見る」。(サムエル記上)

他從灰塵裡抬舉貧寒人、從糞堆中提拔窮乏人、使他們與王子同坐、得著榮耀的座位．地的柱子屬於耶和華、他將世界立在其上。

He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; he seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honor. "For the foundations of the earth are the LORD'S; upon them he has set the world.

貧しい者を、ちりのなかから立ちあがらせ、／乏しい者を、あくたのなかから引き上げて、／王侯と共にすわらせ、／栄誉の位を継がせられる。地の柱は主のものであって、／その柱の上に、世界をすえられたからである。(サムエル記上)

Ruth路得記2:12

願耶和華照你所行的賞賜你、你來投靠耶和華以色列神的翅膀下、願你滿得他的賞賜。”

May the LORD repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.

Whenever the LORD raised up a judge for them, he was with the judge and saved them out of the hands of their enemies as long as the judge lived; for the LORD had compassion on them as they groaned under those who oppressed and afflicted them.

主が彼らのためにさばきづかさを起されたとき、そのさばきづかさの在世中、主はさばきづかさと共におられて、彼らを敵の手から救い出された。これは彼らが自分をしえたげ悩ました者のゆえに、うめき悲しんだので、主が彼らをあわれまれたからである。

Joshua約書亞記11:15

As the LORD commanded his servant Moses, so Moses commanded Joshua, and Joshua did it; he left nothing undone of all that the LORD commanded Moses.

主がそのしもべモーセに命じられたように、モーセはヨシュアに命じたが、ヨシュアはそのとおりにおこなった。すべて主がモーセに命じられたことで、ヨシュアが行わなかったことは一つもなかった。(ヨシュア記)

Joshua約書亞記1:8-9

這律法書不可離開你的口．總要晝夜思想、好使你謹守遵行這書上所寫的一切話．如此你的道路就可以亨通、凡事順利。 我豈沒有吩咐你麼．你當剛強壯膽．不要懼怕、也不要驚惶、因為你無論往那裡去、耶和華你的神必與你同在。

Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.

この律法の書をあなたの口から離すことなく、昼も夜もそれを思い、そのうちにしるされていることを、ことごとく守って行わなければならない。そうするならば、あなたの道は栄え、あなたは勝利を得るであろう。 わたしはあなたに命じたではないか。強く、また雄々しくあれ。あなたがどこへ行くにも、あなたの神、主が共におられるゆえ、恐れてはならない、おののいてはならない」。(ヨシュア記)
