Exodus出埃及記2:24-25

神聽見他們的哀聲、就記念他與亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各所立的約。神看顧以色列人、也知道他們的苦情。

God heard their groaning and he remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac and with Jacob. So God looked on the Israelites and was concerned about them.

神は彼らのうめきを聞き、神はアブラハム、イサク、ヤコブとの契約を覚え、神はイスラエルの人々を顧み、神は彼らをしろしめされた。

Genesis創世記50:19-20

約瑟對他們說、不要害怕、我豈能代替神呢。從前你們的意思是要害我、但神的意思原是好的、要保全許多人的性命、成就今日的光景．

But Joseph said to them, "Don't be afraid. Am I in the place of God? You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.

Genesis創世記35:9-11

雅各從巴旦亞蘭回來、神又向他顯現賜福與他． 且對他說、你的名原是雅各、從今以後不要再叫雅各、要叫以色列、這樣、他就改名叫以色列。神又對他說、我是全能的神、你要生養眾多、將來有一族、和多國的民從你而生、又有君王從你而出。

After Jacob returned from Paddan Aram, God appeared to him again and blessed him. God said to him, "Your name is Jacob, but you will no longer be called Jacob; your name will be Israel." So he named him Israel. And God said to him, "I am God Almighty ; be fruitful and increase in number. A nation and a community of nations will come from you, and kings will come from your body.

さてヤコブがパダンアラムから帰ってきた時、神は再び彼に現れて彼を祝福された。神は彼に言われた、「あなたの名はヤコブである。しかしあなたの名をもはやヤコブと呼んではならない。あなたの名をイスラエルとしなさい」。こうして彼をイスラエルと名づけられた。神はまた彼に言われた、／「わたしは全能の神である。あなたは生めよ、またふえよ。一つの国民、また多くの国民があなたから出て、／王たちがあなたの身から出るであろう。

Genesis創世記32:30-31

雅各便給那地方起名叫毘努伊勒。〔就是神之面的意思〕意思說、我面對面見了神、我的性命仍得保全。日頭剛出來的時候、雅各經過毘努伊勒、他的大腿就瘸了。”

So Jacob called the place Peniel, saying, "It is because I saw God face to face, and yet my life was spared."The sun rose above him as he passed Peniel, and he was limping because of his hip.

そこでヤコブはその所の名をペニエルと名づけて言った、「わたしは顔と顔をあわせて神を見たが、なお生きている」。

Genesis創世記22:14

亞伯拉罕給那地方起名叫耶和華以勒、〔意思就是耶和華必豫備〕直到今日人還說、在耶和華的山上必有豫備。

So Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide. And to this day it is said, "On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided."

それでアブラハムはその所の名をアドナイ・エレと呼んだ。これにより、人々は今日もなお「主の山に備えあり」と言う。

Genesis創世記18:17-18

耶和華說、我所要作的事、豈可瞞著亞伯拉罕呢． 亞伯拉罕必要成為強大的國、地上的萬國都必因他得福。

Then the LORD said, "Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do? Abraham will surely become a great and powerful nation, and all nations on earth will be blessed through him.

時に主は言われた、「わたしのしようとする事をアブラハムに隠してよいであろうか。 アブラハムは必ず大きな強い国民となって、地のすべての民がみな、彼によって祝福を受けるのではないか。

Abram believed the LORD, and he credited it to him as righteousness.

Genesis創世記2:2-3

到第七日、　神造物的工已經完畢、就在第七日歇了他一切的工、安息了。　神賜福給第七日、定為聖日、因為在這日　神歇了他一切創造的工、就安息了。

By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.

神は第七日にその作業を終えられた。すなわち、そのすべての作業を終って第七日に休まれた。神はその第七日を祝福して、これを聖別された。神がこの日に、そのすべての創造のわざを終って休まれたからである。

Genesis創世記1:26-27

神說、我們要照著我們的形像、按著我們的樣式造人、使他們管理海裡的魚、空中的鳥、地上的牲畜、和全地、並地上所爬的一切昆蟲。神就照著自己的形像造人、乃是照著他的形像造男造女。

Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

神はまた言われた、「われわれのかたちに、われわれにかたどって人を造り、これに海の魚と、空の鳥と、家畜と、地のすべての獣と、地のすべての這うものとを治めさせよう」。 神は自分のかたちに人を創造された。すなわち、神のかたちに創造し、男と女とに創造された。
